Helsinki, Finland – Meira Oy announces an important change in the company’s top leadership.
Meira Oy’s long‑serving Chief Executive Officer Raimo Sinisalo has announced his retirement effective 23 February 2026.
As Raimo Sinisalo retires, Mikko Savinko has been appointed as Meira’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 23 February 2026. In his role, he will also be responsible for leading Meira’s sales.
Mikko Savinko is a seasoned executive with a distinguished track record in delivering results-driven business development. His experience, including notable achievements at Lantmännen Cerelia Oy and Altia Oyj, demonstrates strong commercial acumen. He also brings substantial expertise in integrating people, processes, and technology into a cohesive strategic framework. These capabilities provide a solid foundation for strengthening Meira’s competitive position and supporting the organization’s ongoing operational development.
CEO‑elect Savinko comments on his new role
“Meira has all the prerequisites to strengthen its position as a profitable, results‑driven, and well‑managed coffee and seasoning company. Important steps in the right direction have already been taken, and I am well positioned to accelerate this development together with the management team and the entire personnel.
I am also proud of the opportunity to lead Meira—a company that is, in an interesting way, both traditional and renewing, and one that already holds a strong position in Finland’s increasingly diverse food and beverage consumption. And still today, over 98% of Meira’s products are manufactured in and shipped from Vallila, Helsinki — which is quite remarkable in itself.”
